Are you a gastroenterologist looking for a role that combines professional development, close collaboration, and exceptional quality of life? 

We are currently seeking a specialist in gastroenterology for a hospital located in a unique Swedish speaking island community in the Nordic region, home to approximately 30,000 inhabitants.

About the Hospital

The hospital provides a broad range of specialist healthcare services and works closely across departments to ensure high-quality patient care. Specialist teams are relatively small, creating a collaborative environment with close communication between colleagues and specialties.

As a gastroenterologist, you will work in close cooperation with specialists in internal medicine and other disciplines, managing a broad spectrum of gastroenterological conditions.

As a specialist in gastroenterology, your work will include:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of gastroenterological conditions
  • Management of both acute and chronic patients
  • Endoscopic procedures according to competence and experience
  • Collaboration with internal medicine specialists and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participation in the development of clinical routines and patient care processes
  • Possibility to take on supervisory or leadership responsibilities 

Qualifications

  • EU-recognized specialist certification in gastroenterology
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Motivation to learn Swedish
  • Broad clinical competence within gastroenterology
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing actively to team-based care
  • Structured, collaborative, and patient-focused approach
