Your Role

We are looking for a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer who wants to contribute to the development of modern Data & AI platforms. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with hands-on engineering and help build secure, scalable, and robust environments for advanced AI solutions.

You will be part of Software Excellence and Information Assurance (SWEIXA) within Saab Surveillance. Working closely with other experienced engineers, you will provide technical expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and AI infrastructure.

As a Senior Data & AI Platform Engineer, you will work across the entire technology lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will also contribute knowledge related to AI tools, their capabilities and limitations, helping the team develop sustainable technical solutions that meet business and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native Data & AI platforms

• Develop platform functionality and work with Kubernetes and Kubernetes Operators

• Implement, deploy, and troubleshoot solutions in complex technical environments

• Work with automation, GitOps, CI/CD, and observability

• Contribute technical expertise, knowledge sharing, and the continuous improvement of team practices

• Explore how emerging AI technologies and tools can be utilized and integrated into our platforms

Travel may be required as part of this role.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with solid experience in software engineering and platform development who enjoys working close to technology. You have a strong technical interest and thrive on solving complex challenges in collaboration with others.

We believe you have experience in several of the following areas:

• Golang or other programming languages used for systems-level development

• Kubernetes, Kubernetes Operators, and containerized environments

• Cloud-native platforms, as well as DevOps, GitOps, and CI/CD practices

• Linux and automation using tools such as Python or Shell scripting

• Data-intensive environments and the deployment and management of AI models

Experience in any of the following areas is considered a merit:

• AI-assisted software development or agent-based AI

• Large Language Model (LLM) technologies, including prompting and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Test automation

• Security testing

You hold a university degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or have gained equivalent competence through professional experience.

As a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and capable of understanding complex technical challenges. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and collaborating with others while also being comfortable driving technical initiatives independently.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
