Senior Backend Software Engineer

You will join a backend team in the connected-vehicle domain, building services that support critical assistance journeys such as stolen vehicle tracking, emergency services, roadside assistance, vehicle positioning and customer-care operations.

The environment is cloud-based and includes APIs, integrations, databases and monitoring. The team owns its services throughout the full lifecycle, from design and development to testing, rollout, support and continuous improvement. Current work includes improving position handling, enabling global assignment capabilities, migrating customer-care solutions and strengthening alarm management.

• You will build, develop and operate backend services for connected-vehicle assistance solutions.
• You will work hands-on with Java, Go and Python in AWS-based environments, including serverless components.
• You will improve APIs, integrations, databases and observability for services running in production.
• You will support new launches and rollouts, and help evolve capabilities used across different vehicle and customer flows.
• You will drive monitoring, vulnerability remediation and risk-related improvements as part of a DevOps way of working.
• You will contribute across the full service lifecycle, including design, development, testing, rollout, support and continuous improvement.
• You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, customers and other engineering teams, including support for OEM integrations.
• You will take shared responsibility for production stability and participate in an on-call rotation.

• Solid hands-on experience with Java, Go and Python
• Experience with AWS, including serverless services
• DevOps knowledge and a drive to work with monitoring, vulnerability remediation and risk-related work
• Experience with observability in production environments
• Experience working with stakeholders or customers
• Experience supporting OEM integrations
• Experience working with legacy systems
• Willingness to participate in on-call
