About the Role

You will take a key role in a large D365 transformation within the automotive industry, where BI and reporting need to support several business-critical areas such as Sales, Service, Order to Delivery, and Finance & Procurement. The focus is on creating structure around BI demand: understanding business needs, shaping them into clear requirements, and building a prioritized backlog that supports the right decisions across the wider D365 landscape.

This is not a hands-on development role. Instead, you will be the go-to person for BI and reporting questions across multiple work streams, helping stakeholders understand their options and move from unclear needs to practical solution direction. You will work closely with business representatives, stream leads, architects, product owners, and IT experts in a complex environment where BI maturity differs between teams. The role is especially interesting if you enjoy combining analytics knowledge with stakeholder dialogue, prioritization, and strategic influence.

Job Description

• You will own the BI demand perspective across the D365 work streams and help create a consistent way of working for intake, analysis, prioritization, and follow-up.
• You will act as the main BI and reporting contact for business stakeholders and stream leads, making sure needs are captured early and translated into clear next steps.
• You will lead workshops and structured discussions to identify current, emerging, and overlooked reporting and analytics needs.
• You will translate business needs into structured BI requirements that are ready for assessment, prioritization, and handover to detailed design and implementation.
• You will maintain a consolidated BI backlog, including priorities and initial solution direction.
• You will assess where BI needs should be handled across D365, Microsoft analytics tools, or other relevant enterprise solutions.
• You will collaborate with domain leads, product owners, architects, and central IT specialists to validate solution directions and dependencies.
• You will challenge assumptions in a constructive way and help stakeholders move toward suitable BI and reporting solutions.
• You will establish documentation, structure, and ways of working that support a smooth transition to a permanent domain lead setup.

Requirements

• Relevant academic background at M.Sc. level or equivalent.
• Strong experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
• Experience working with BI demand management, requirements shaping, prioritization, and backlog development.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Good understanding of the Microsoft data and analytics ecosystem, including Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Good understanding of enterprise IT and solution landscapes.
• Ability to evaluate technical alternatives and guide stakeholders without being a hands-on developer.
• Ability to translate business needs into structured BI requirements and practical solution recommendations.
• Experience working across business processes, architecture, and IT stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including leading workshops and structured discussions.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience from a major D365 transformation or implementation programme.
• Experience working in environments where BI maturity varies across teams and functions.
