About the Role

You will step into a role where finance and purchasing meet. In this assignment, you help a global company in industrial and marine solutions make better financial decisions across purchasing strategy, supplier investments, and business development. You work closely with purchasing, central Finance, and Business Control, which gives you broad exposure to both operational questions and longer-term planning.

This role suits you if you enjoy turning numbers into clear business guidance and want to influence decisions in a cross-functional environment with many stakeholders. It is an interesting opportunity because you get to combine classic controlling with purchasing-related analysis, business cases, and improvement work in a broad business setting.

Job Description

• You drive monthly closing analyses, reporting, and follow-up of KPIs and performance indicators.
• You prepare estimates, forecasts, and scenario analyses that support business and purchasing decisions.
• You analyze investments linked to vendor tooling, capacity, risk, and resourcing.
• You provide financial input to investigations, improvement initiatives, and purchasing-related projects.
• You handle supplier invoice-related issues and help resolve deviations.
• You build and evaluate business cases, including material cost assessments and financial impact analyses.
• You support buyers and project managers with guidance on financial processes, routines, and ways of working.
• You contribute to additional purchasing-related topics such as regulatory follow-up and special projects when needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a Business Controller role.
• Strong knowledge of finance systems such as SAP, Essbase, or equivalent.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to complete a background check before start.

Nice to have

• Experience within Purchasing.
• Experience from the Automotive industry.
• You are comfortable working independently, communicating financial insights clearly, and challenging existing processes in a constructive way.
• You enjoy continuous improvement and collaboration across finance, strategy, sustainability, process development, and digitalization.
