UX Engineer

On behalf of a partner company, Nordic Investin is looking for an UX Engineer. You like the space where design intent meets browser behaviour, component APIs and the reality of production code.

The partner is creating a design system and improving complex web workflows. You will prototype interactions, build accessible components and help designers and engineers make decisions using working software.

The team works across disciplines and expects quality to be shaped throughout discovery and delivery. You will have space to challenge assumptions, make evidence visible and improve how decisions are made.

You will join multidisciplinary delivery rather than operate as a final approval step. The partner expects early questions, rapid feedback and clear evidence about what users and systems need. You will help teams decide what to test, measure or prototype before committing to an expensive direction.

You will receive meaningful ownership while working with senior colleagues on the most consequential decisions. The partner expects you to deliver independently within a clear area, ask for context early and contribute ideas grounded in what you observe. There is room to deepen your specialism or broaden toward adjacent responsibilities.

• Develop production ready components in React and TypeScript.

• Translate design concepts into responsive interactive prototypes.

• Define accessibility behaviour and test with assistive technology.

• Improve design tokens, documentation and component APIs.

• Collaborate on research and turn findings into interface changes.

• Support adoption across product teams.

• Strong frontend development with excellent HTML and CSS.

• React and TypeScript experience.

• Ability to work confidently in design tools and code.

• Practical accessibility knowledge.

• Good visual judgement and attention to interaction detail.

• Professional English and collaborative critique skills.

• Design system ownership.

• Motion, data visualisation or prototyping tools.

• Experience in workflow heavy enterprise products.

You may be a frontend engineer with strong design sensibility or a product designer who writes production quality code. The partner is interested in the bridge you create between disciplines rather than the label you started with.

This role gives you leverage across several products and close collaboration with design and engineering leaders. You will improve both the visible interface and the system teams use to build it.

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional technology if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
