Position Overview

The Repair and Maintenance Specialist is responsible for supporting daily vehicle repair, maintenance, and roadworthiness operations in the assigned market. This role will work closely with workshops, body & paint shops, tire vendors, glass repair partners, insurance providers, and internal fleet teams to ensure vehicles are repaired quickly, maintained properly, and returned to operation with minimum downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Repair & Maintenance Operations

· Coordinate daily repair and maintenance activities for GSM Europe’s vehicle fleet in the assigned market.

· Follow up with service providers on routine servicing, accident repairs, body damage, glass repair, and mechanical issues.

· Ensure all vehicles follow mandatory maintenance schedules and comply with local roadworthiness inspection requirements.

· Monitor vehicle repair status and ensure timely updates in internal fleet management systems.

Workshop & Service Partner Coordination

· Act as the key contact point for workshops, body & paint shops, tire vendors, glass repair partners, and other maintenance providers.

· Follow up on repair timelines, spare parts availability, service quality, and vehicle handover status.

· Support the evaluation of workshop performance, including turnaround time, service quality, and cost efficiency.

· Escalate delayed repairs, repeated technical issues, or service quality concerns to management.

Tire, Glass & Roadworthiness Management

· Support seasonal tire operations, including winter/summer tire changes, tire storage, tire wear tracking, and replacement planning.

· Coordinate glass repair and replacement cases to reduce vehicle downtime.

· Track vehicle inspection deadlines and ensure vehicles remain compliant with local safety and roadworthiness regulations.

· Support preventive maintenance activities to minimize breakdowns and unexpected off-road cases.

Cost Control & Insurance Coordination

· Track repair, maintenance, tire, glass, and service costs against approved budgets.

· Review service records and invoices to ensure accuracy before submission for approval.

· Coordinate with insurance partners for accident repair claims and damage recovery processes.

· Identify abnormal repair costs, repeated damages, or long downtime cases and report them to management.

Driver & Internal Support

· Act as a local support point for drivers regarding vehicle issues, dashboard alerts, charging-related concerns, or repair updates.

· Provide timely updates to internal teams on vehicle maintenance status, repair progress, and off-road cases.

· Support the implementation of repair and maintenance policies, operating procedures, and local compliance requirements.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.

· 2–4 years of experience in vehicle repair coordination, maintenance operations, fleet maintenance, automotive service, leasing operations, or related fields.

· Good understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, tires, brakes, glass, body repair, and roadworthiness requirements.

· Experience with electric vehicles or EV maintenance operations is an advantage.

· Ability to coordinate with workshops, repair vendors, insurance providers, drivers, and internal teams.

· Good cost awareness and ability to identify unusual or excessive repair costs.

· Hands-on, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to follow up until issues are resolved.

· Professional fluency in the local language and English.

· Good command of Excel/Google Sheets and fleet or maintenance management tools is preferred.
