Senior Project Manager, Atlassian Cloud Migration

About the Role

You will lead a strategic migration of a company-wide Atlassian platform from an on-premise setup to Atlassian Cloud. This is a high-visibility program in a complex enterprise environment where technology, information security, risk, compliance, architecture, operations, and business needs all need to move in step.

You will take the program from planning through execution and help secure a smooth, compliant transition with minimal disruption to daily operations. Job Description

• You will lead the end-to-end migration program from Atlassian Data Center/Server to Atlassian Cloud.
• You will define and manage scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery structure.
• You will coordinate cross-functional teams across infrastructure, platform, security, compliance, architecture, and business functions.
• You will establish governance forums and provide clear status updates to senior stakeholders.
• You will drive stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and change activities to support adoption.
• You will coordinate vendors and partners where needed and keep all moving parts aligned.
• You will ensure the migration follows enterprise architecture, security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• You will proactively identify issues and risks and turn them into clear actions and decisions.
• You will oversee testing, cutover planning, business readiness, and the transition to operational support.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading large-scale enterprise transformation or migration programs successfully.
• Minimum 7-10 years of project or program management experience in complex organizations.
• Experience with SaaS transformation initiatives, cloud migrations, or enterprise platform modernization.
• Strong understanding of project delivery methods including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid models.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and communicate effectively at executive level.
• Experience working with projects that include significant regulatory, risk, and security considerations.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work professionally in both Swedish and English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Atlassian Cloud migration programs.
• Experience from banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with data residency, data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements linked to cloud adoption.
• Experience working in large international enterprise environments with distributed teams.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent.
